Georgia Steel says Love Island abuse awful for family

Former Love Island contestant Georgia Steel has spoken out about the abuse she and her family have received since appearing on the hit reality show. In a recent interview, Steel revealed that the constant criticism and negativity directed towards her online has not only taken a toll on her mental health, but has also had a devastating impact on her family.

“The abuse I receive on a daily basis is absolutely awful, but what’s even worse is seeing how it affects my family,” Steel said. “They have to read hurtful comments about me every day, and it breaks my heart to see how much it hurts them.”

Steel went on to urge people to think before they post hurtful comments online, as the impact of their words can be far-reaching. She also called on social media platforms to do more to tackle online abuse and harassment.

“It’s important for everyone to remember that there are real people behind the screens, and the things you say can have a lasting impact,” Steel said. “We need to do better as a society to create a safer, more respectful online environment.”
