Abandoned in the Desert

My mother’s body was left by smugglers in the desert
It was a hot and desolate day in the desert when my mother’s lifeless body was discovered. She was just one of the many victims of human smuggling, left to die in the harsh and unforgiving landscape.
Her journey had started with hope and dreams of a better life, but it ended in tragedy at the hands of heartless smugglers. They promised her safe passage to a new land, but instead, they abandoned her to die alone.
As I stood over her lifeless body, I vowed to seek justice for her and all the other victims of human trafficking. No one should have to suffer such a fate, to be treated as nothing more than a commodity to be bought and sold.
My mother’s story is a heartbreaking reminder of the dangers faced by migrants seeking a better life. It is a call to action to fight against the cruelty and inhumanity of human smuggling, to stand up for the rights and dignity of all people.
May my mother rest in peace, knowing that her story will not be forgotten and that her death will not be in vain.
